All human beings are on a journey through life.But most people are too busy trying to just maintain their existence to be able to stop long enough to think about the world in which they live.Others of us have been fortunate enough to be able to pause from time to time to ask ourselves such questions as, "How was the Universe created?", "What is the nature of the thing that created it?", "Who am I?" and most importantly of all, "What is it that gives meaning* to my life?" [ *The end purpose] This is the story of one young man who found the answers to these questions and although the main character of the novel is male, it is the women in the story that enable him to find self-actualization.The story includes references to some real persons and actual historical events, but only the spiritual experiences of the fictional characters are real.For all mystical experiences are real to those who experience them.But because we cannot explain these phenomena scientifically, there is no proof of their 'truth' other than what we discover for ourselves by following the path of spiritual enlightenment.And all that science can say about these possible glimpses of the numen* is that they are no more metaphysical than the origin of the universe itself and might even be 'real'.[ *divine presence]Michael Maxwell
