Rafael Flynn is so wealthy that men and women are at his beck and call, but he is drawn to Harriet for the way that she stands her ground with him. He’s always said he doesn’t want to get emotionally involved with women, but his actions seem to say otherwise. It hasn’t been long since Harriet’s fiancé left her, and yet her mother criticizes her harshly for still feeling upset. Sad and hurt, Harriet turns to Rafael when he offers her consolation.
